Features

Everything a contributor needs to keyword faster

Built for microstock photographers and videographers who'd rather shoot than type metadata all day.

Buyer-trained AI

Metadata is written the way buyers actually search — most literal terms first, mostly single words so each one matches more queries. Brands and filler stripped automatically.

Local & private

Run Gemma 3 or Gemma 4 vision models through Ollama or LM Studio and everything stays offline on your Mac. No uploads, no accounts, no API keys.

Or cloud power

Prefer the cloud? Plug in your own Google Gemini or OpenAI ChatGPT key for fast results without running a local model. Nothing is proxied through us.

Photos, art & video

JPG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC and WebP photos; EPS and vector previews; MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV and WebM clips — each with a thumbnail and its own tuned prompt.

One-click exports

Save Adobe Stock and Shutterstock upload CSVs, a generic keyword CSV, or XMP sidecars that embed title, caption, and keywords into IPTC metadata.

Batch & rules

Drop a whole folder and process it in one pass, with batch context applied to every file. On Max, edit the prompt behind each backend and media type.

How it works

From raw files to upload-ready in three steps

1

Drop your files

Drag photos, illustrations, or videos onto the analyzer — one file or a full batch. Thumbnails appear instantly.

2

Pick your engine

Run a local model via Ollama or LM Studio, or connect Google Gemini or ChatGPT. Then hit Generate and watch each row fill in live.

3

Review & export

Tweak any title, description, or keyword, then export to Adobe Stock / Shutterstock CSV or write XMP straight to your files.

Private by design

Your work stays on your Mac

Run a local model through Ollama or LM Studio and StockMeta AI never sends your images anywhere. No account, no cloud upload, no tracking, no analytics SDK — ideal for unpublished or client work under NDA.

  • Local models run fully offline — zero uploads
  • No account or sign-in required
  • Sandboxed Mac app with hardened runtime
  • Cloud is optional — only if you add your own Gemini or ChatGPT key

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does StockMeta AI work offline?
Yes. Run a local vision model through Ollama or LM Studio and everything happens on your Mac — your images never leave your computer and no internet connection is needed. If you'd rather use the cloud, add your own Google Gemini or ChatGPT API key instead. The choice is yours, per session.
Which file types are supported?
Photos (JPG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC, BMP, WebP) and illustrations (JPG, PNG, EPS) on every tier, plus video (MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM) on Plus and Max. Each item gets a thumbnail preview, including videos.
What can I export?
Upload-ready CSV files formatted for Adobe Stock and Shutterstock, a generic keyword CSV, and XMP sidecar files that embed your title, description, and keywords into standard IPTC / Dublin Core metadata.
How good are the keywords?
Each result includes a Headline-Case title within agency character limits, a concise description, and 15–49 keywords ranked by relevance, most literal first. Detailed scenes get 40–49; simple subjects get fewer. Keywords lean on single words — black bikini is split into black + bikini so each matches more searches. Brand names, filler terms, and characters the agencies reject are stripped automatically, and you can edit anything before export.
What does the free trial include?
Everything. For 7 days after your first launch, all three tabs — Photos, Videos, and Illustrations — plus the Rules tab are fully unlocked, with no feature caps and no card required up front. The Models and Settings tabs stay open permanently so you can always manage backends or restore a purchase.
Is it a subscription?
No. The app is free to download and every feature is unlocked for a 7-day trial. After that a single one-time in-app purchase unlocks a tier (Base, Plus, or Max). Purchases are family-shareable, and you can upgrade later by paying only the difference.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac running macOS 14 or later. Apple Silicon is recommended for local AI; Intel Macs work fine with the cloud backends. For local mode you install the free Ollama or LM Studio runtime; for cloud mode you need your own Gemini or ChatGPT API key. Full setup help is on the Support page.
